Japanese Liquor

Matcha Set
AGANODATE: Based on the concept of healthy body, healthy mind, traditional items from Fukuoka Prefecture have been conveniently packaged together to help you easily experience the Japanese spirit of wabisabi (quiet simplicity and subdued refinement).
Tea Cup (Aganoyaki): Over 400 years ago, Korean pottery was brought to the Agano region of Japan by the Fukuoka feudal lord Tadaoki Hosokawa, who studied directly under the famous ancient tea master, Sen Rikyu. This marked the beginning of kiln-fired pottery in Japan. Aganoyaki is characterized by its colorful glaze. The green glaze, called Agano green, is particularly well loved by pottery enthusiasts.
Matcha (Yame-cha): This is the finest Japanese tea backed by over 800 years of tradition.
Kinchaku Pouch (Hakata-ori): The tradition of Hakataori weaving began approximately 760 years ago when a monk and a young Hakata merchant traveled to China to study weaving techniques. The techniques have been passed down for generations. The silk fabric is known for its sophisticated patterns which were also used in fabrics presented to the shogun.
Tatami Mat (Hakata Kaori): This Igusa mat is from the Chikugo Region of Fukuoka Prefecture and is crafted from over 400 years of tradition.
